Multigrade Bitumen
This special binder has less thermal susceptibility than conventional binders. It is an ideal product for summer thermal zones established in Spanish legislation. This bitumen is less fragile at low temperatures and has higher consistency at high temperatures.
BMG 35/50 multigrade bitumen has optimum performance on roads exposed to extreme service temperatures and thermal gradients.
Multigrade bitumen is applied to all types of bituminous products and particularly to wearing and intermediate courses exposed to adverse weather and heavy traffic conditions. Some examples of application are slow lanes with heavy and guided traffic, highways, toll areas, street intersections, docks, airports, parking areas in general, and mountain passes.
